The mapping and course design work for the WIOL Championship at Green River Community College are complete. Most of the courses will include a spectator control near the finish. Please keep the path to the control and the adjacent fire lane clear. Some of the courses will feature both forest orienteering and urban sprint orienteering. The latter will be on an enlargened section of the map, and will be printed on the back of the "forest" map. Remember to turn it over!
Because there are slight differences between the map symbols used for sprint events and those used for "regular" orienteering courses, participants are encouraged to review both sets, with special attention to uncrossable boundaries and forbidden areas. On the GRCC map, the former mostly are tall fences, but the latter include landscaped garden areas. Stay out of them!
These are from the IOF.
The college web site has a map of the campus, but it is not nearly as detailed as the new orienteering map - nor does it show any of the trails or contours. We will use the East Entrance; follow signs south toward parking area P7.
This meet will have pre-assigned starts for all WIOL participants, and they will be given bib numbers to wear. The start lists are available here as text comma-delimited files, sorted in various forms:
This data is subject to change and random permutation.Hot showers will be available near the finish from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a $1 donation; please bring your own towel, etc..
The award ceremony will be as close to 2:00 PM as possible, and will include both the WIOL season and the Winter O' Series.
Here are a few map samples. To avoid giving away too much, some have been rotated some random amount.

| Many trail junctions have signs similar to this. There is something distinctive about them (hint: this view looks south). | For the weary, the college has provided comfortable benches. | Trail near the Brush Patch on a foggy morning. |
