The Texas bound WIOL participants gather for a group photo before boarding our plane at SeaTac.

The party plane made it to DFW a few minutes ahead of schedule, and orienteering skills proved their value as we navigated to the baggage claim. That, and finding our way through Dallas and to Athens.

The Super 8 hotel we've taken over (23 rooms out of 67) has a "continental breakfast", and their orange juice supply was put to the test. Sated, it's back to the rooms to get ready for orienteering.

Joining us at the motel is the team from Plano East; they have 9 rooms.

Today's schedule includes a Sprint, a short course that we can use to get accquainted with the local forest. Everyone is excited to be here and eager to get out and run around. Some of the running might even be in the forest and in the correct direction...
