•From I-5 take the S 320th st. exit [#143] (signed "Federal Way") and go W toward Federal Way.
After 0.9 mi, turn L on 11th Pl. S (first traffic light after crossing Pacific Highway S) and go S 0.3 mi to the park.
Alternatively, go W on S 320th 0.7 mi from I-5 and turn L on Pacific Highway S. Go S 0.2 mi and turn R on S 324th St. and then W 0.2 mi to park.
Farrel-McWhirter Park Redmond Take SR-520 EB to Redmond, continue N on overpass over Redmond Way, cross NE Union Hill Rd (traffic light), and continue N on Avondale Rd NE. Go N 0.8 mi from Union Hill Rd, turn R on NE Novelty Hill Rd and go NE 0.3 mi. Shortly after crossing Bear Creek, turn L onto NE Redmond Rd, continue NE 0.3 mi. to park entrance on L.
Fire Mtn. Boy Scout Camp Mt. Vernon •From I-5 College Way exit [#227] in Mount Vernon, head E 3.6 mi on College Way (SR-538) to SR-9.
Bear R and go S 3.8 mi to Walker Valley Rd.
(Walker Valley Rd is about 100 yds after the S curve at the S end of the golf course)
Turn L up hill and go E on Walker Valley Rd 2.6 mi to camp entrance.
Forest Park Everett •From NB I-5 take the Everett (Broadway) exit [#192], and stay in the right lane.
After 0.3 mi (and after passing under 41st St.) turn R and follow the "cloverleaf" turn to WB 41st St. =>
•From SB I-5 take the 41st St. and turn R to go W on 41st. =>
=> Continue W on 41st through two traffic signals (Colby and Rucker) and up the hill as 41st turns and becomes E. Mukilteo Blvd.. Follow Mukilteo to park entrance on L just past pedestrian overpass.
The park entrance is 0.8 mi. W of Broadway.
Fort Casey State Park Whidbey Island •From the south, take the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry to Whidbey Island.
Head N on SR-525 22 mi, then turn L onto SR-20 to the Keystone ferry terminal. =>
•From the Olympic Peninsula, take the Pt. Townsend-Keystone ferry. Turn left from the ferry dock onto Engle Rd. (It is also possible to walk from the Keystone ferry terminal to the park; participants can leave their cars in Port Townsend and save on the ferry fare) =>
•From the north, take the SR-20 exit W from I-5 [#230] to Whidbey Island and follow to the Keystone ferry terminal. =>
=> From the ferry terminal, follow Engle Rd. 0.4 mi to Ft. Casey State Park entrance on L.
Ft. Steilacoom Park 9401 Farwest Drive SW, Lakewood (Pierce College) •From SB I-5, take S. 74th St. exit [#129] (signed "So 72 St / So 84 St"). Be sure to head W on 74th!
Turn R at end of ramp, go W on 74th 2.0 mi. and cross Lakewood Dr W, where 74th turns SW and becomes Custer Rd W.
Continue on Custer Rd, and cross Bridgeport Way SW.
After 0.8 mi. from Bridgeport Way turn R onto 88th St. SW (signed "Western State Hospital / Pierce College / Steilacoom"; turn itself is marked by small sign "Free right turn" - no, really, it is).
After 0.2 mi., 88th merges with Steilacoom Blvd. SW =>
•From NB I-5, take Bridgeport Way SW exit [#125], turn L at end of ramp and go N 2.3 mi. to Steilacoom Blvd. SW.
Turn L (signed "Steilacoom / Pierce College") and go W on Steilacoom Blvd=>
•From WB SR-512, cross I-5 and turn R onto S.Tacoma Way.
Go N 0.9 mi. and turn L onto Steilacoom Blvd. SW. =>
=> Go W on Steilacoom Blvd. past Lake Steilacoom to NE corner of park (1.0 mi. from 88th, 1.6 mi. from Bridgeport, 3.1 mi. from Tacoma Way).
Continue 1.0 mi. to Farwest Dr SW at the NW corner of the park.
Turn L on Farwest Dr. and go 0.3 mi. up hill to Pierce College entrance on L.

Green River Community College Auburn •From SB SR 167 from Seattle and Renton take 15th St NW exit; turn L and go E over SR 167. Continue E 1.0 mi. on 15th (becomes 15th NE) to Auburn Way. Bear R and go SE on Harvey Rd 0.5 mi. to 8th St NE (traffic light). Turn L and go E 0.4 mi., cross Green River and go L up hill on Lea Hill Rd SE 0.7 mi. to 112th Ave SE. Turn R and go S 0.5 mi. to SE 320th St. Turn L and go E 0.4 mi. to West Entrance or another 0.4 mi. to East Entrance. For the Februay 23, 2008, WIOL championship we will use the East Entrance
•From NB SR 167 (e.g., from Puyallup), take the SR 18 exit and go E on SR 18 =>

•From EB SR 18 go E through Auburn, cross Green River and continue about four miles to the "SE 304th St/SE 312th St" exit =>
•From Issaquah and North Bend take WB SR 18 (which actually heads SW most of it's length) to the "SE 304th St/SE 312th St" exit =>
=> turn R and go W on SE 304th St. Continue SW as it becomes 132nd Ave SE and then turns W and becomes SE 312th St. Turn L on 124th Ave SE (slightly more than a mile from SR 18) and go S 0.4 mi. to SE 320th St and the East Entrance. Turn R and go W 0.4 mi. to the West Entrance. For the Februay 23, 2008, WIOL championship we will use the East Entrance

•From NB I-5 take the NE 145th St. exit [#175].
Turn R and go E to 15th Ave. NE, turn L and go N to park entrance on east side of 15th.
•From SB I-5, take NE 175th St. exit [#176] E to 15th Ave. NE.
Turn R and go S to park entrance on east side of 15th.
•From Kenmore, Bothell, Woodinville, head W/S on Bothell Way (SR 522) to NE 145th St.
Turn R and go W to 15th Ave NE.
Turn R and go N to park entrance on east side of 15th.

Snoqualmie Pass Take the I-90 "Hyak/Gold Cr." exit [#54]. Turn S toward Hyak ski area parking lot ( turn R if arriving eastbound from Seattle etc., if westbound, turn L). Cross SR 906 and continue to the N edge of the parking lot. At the double stop sign, turn R onto Snoqualmie Drive (opposite a small white and brown USFS sign for road 9070-110 on the L side of the road). After about 100 yards take first R onto Snoqualmie Drive North. Stay on main road (stay L 0.1 mile after turning onto Snoqualmie). After the switchback (just past the power line), bear R (uphill) onto Innsbruck Drive. After about 100 yards (and ½ mile from double stop sign) turn R (opposite a covered fire hydrant and just before a yellow diamond "No Outlet" sign) onto a dirt/gravel road. At the next two junctions, stay R on "main" road. The dirt road is in good shape and passable to all but the lowest slung vehicles; the worst of the rough spots is just before the switchback under the chair lift. The parking area is about one mile after turning onto the dirt road, approximately 10-15 minutes (and 800') up from I-90. There are NO facilities! Please bring your own water.
Lake Sammammish State Park Issaquah •Take I-90 17th Ave. NW (SR 900) Exit [#15], (if EB turn L and cross freeway; if WB turn R), go N one block and turn L onto NW Sammamish Road, go W 0.5 mi. to park entrance on right.
Lincoln Park Seattle •From I-5 take the Spokane St. (W Seattle Freeway) exit [#163 or #163A] and go W on Spokane St.
Continue across Duwamish River (West Seattle Bridge) past steel plant and SW up hill. At the somewhat confusing 5-way intersection with SW Alaska St., bear left and go S on Fauntleroy.
•From Kitsap Peninsula, take Southworth Ferry to Fauntleroy. Leaving the ferry terminal, turn L and go N two blocks to park on L. It is also possible to walk from the ferry to the park (hint, hint).
Lynndale Park Lynnwood I-5 exit [#181]
Magnuson Park Seattle •from NB I-5, take Exit 169 to NE 45th St., turn R onto NE 45th street, continue as NE 45th becomes Sand Point Way NE, turn R into the park at NE 65th St (light), follow the orange and white O' signs to registration.
•from SB I-5, take Exit 173 to NE Northgate Way, turn R (east) onto NE Northgate Way, turn R onto 24th Ave NE (light), turn R onto Lake City Way NE, turn L on NE 95th St (2nd light), turn R onto Sand Point Way NE
•From Kenmore, Bothell, and Woodinville, take SR-522 (Bothell Way) into Seattle (becomes Lake City Way). Turn L onto NE 125th St. which becomes Sand Point Way NE. Follow to NE 65th St.
•From WB or EB SR-520, take the Montlake Blvd. exit NB. Cross the Montlake Bridge and continue on Montlake Blvd. NE past Husky Stadium, the other athletic facilities, and the large Montlake parking lot. Stay R and continue E on NE 45th St. A the 5 way intersection, continue straight ahead up the hill on Sand Point Way. Turn R into the park at NE 65th St.
Marymoor Park Redmond •Take SR-520 to W. Lake Sammamish Parkway. Head S on Lake Sammamish Parkway 0.2 mile from SR-520 and turn L into park. After crossing the Sammamish River, follow the orange and white O' signs and turn R at the 3rd stop sign. Go S toward the dog area and park in Lot D. There is a $1/car parking fee; pay at the kiosk upon entry.
North Seattle Community College Seattle •from NB I-5 take exit [#173], turn L at light onto 1st Ave NE, turn L at next light onto N Northgate Way, turn L at second light onto Meridian Ave N =>
• from SB I-5 take N Northgate Way exit [#173], stay R. Turn R at light onto N Northgate Way, turn L at next light onto Meridian Ave N =>
=> continue S on Meridian, which becomes College Way N, proceed to college on left, follow orange and white O' signs to parking.
Point Defiance Park Tacoma (scenic route) From SB I-5 in Tacoma take the City Center - I-705 exit [#133]. Stay R then L through the interchange. After 0.9 mi, move to R lane to remain on I-705 and follow signs to Schuster Parkway and Ruston Way. Go N 1.0 mi and "under" downtown stay in L lane and continue N on Schuster Parkway. Passing the grain terminal, stay in L lane for the overpass over the railroad tracks. Along the waterfront, admire the view but be mindful of the speed limit. Approx. 3 mi after the grain terminal, go through the Ruston Tunnel. Note: the tunnel is only 9'3" high on the sides, adequate for most private vehicles, but possibly not for buses. Exiting the tunnel, turn L up hill and go W on N 51st St. Turn R on Pearl St. and go N 0.2 mi to the park entrance.
(conventional, boring route) From SB I-5 take the SR 16 West - Bremerton - Gig Harbor exit [#132]. =>
•From NB I-5 take the SR 16 West - Bremerton - Gig Harbor exit [#132]. =>
=> Go NW on SR 16 and take the Ruston exit [#3]. Continue straight ahead across 6th Ave. and turn R on N Pearl St. Go N about 3 mi to the park.
(The scenic route described above is also possible for those arriving from the south.)
•From EB SR 16 (i.e., from Bremerton - Gig Harbor), cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and take the Pearl St exit. Turn R on Pearl and go N about 3 mi to the park.

Winter 2007: the I-5/SR 16 interchange is undergoing major change. The multi-year projects ( wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/PierceCountyHOV/I5_HOV_S48th_Pacific/ wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/PierceCountyHOV/sr16_olympic_union/ ) will involve temporary lane realignments, and these directions might not apply as written.
Probably better to take the scenic route...

Once in the park, follow the orange and white O' signs to registration.

Priest Point Park 5000 3 Olympia •From SB I-5 take the Port Of Olympia exit [#105B] from I-5 and head north on Plum St. =>
•From NB I-5 take exit [#105] (signed "State Capitol/City Center/Port Of Olympia"). Stay R and cross under I-5 to go N on E Bay Dr. to "Port Of Olympia". Turn L at light onto Plum St.=>
=> continue on Plum St. as it becomes East Bay Dr. to the park entrance on the right. Follow the O' signs to registration.
Saghalie Parklands 5000 3 33914 - 19th Ave. SW,

•From I-5 take the Federal Way exit [#142B] (signed "Puyallup").
Go W on 348th St. 1.2 mi to 1st Ave. S.
Continue across 1st, after which 348th becomes SW Campus Dr. as it curves NW. Continue for 1.6 miles, passing the King County Aquatics Center, to 19th Ave. Turn L (S) past the post office on the L (O' sign) and follow 19th 0.3 mi. S as it winds around and then E up behind the school to a parking area.
St. Edward State Park Kenmore •From NB I-5 take the Lake City Way (SR-522) exit, follow Lake City Way (becomes Bothell Way) to 68th Ave. NE in Kenmore =>
•From SB I-5 take the NE 205th St. (SR-104) exit, turn L at bottom of ramp and go E on NE 205th St. (becomes Ballinger Way NE) to Bothell Way NE, turn L and go E on Bothell Way NE to 68th Ave. NE in Kenmore =>
•From SB I-405, take the WB SR-522 exit, continue through Bothell on Bothell Way NE (becomes NE Bothell Way) to 68th Ave. NE in Kenmore =>
=> Turn S on 68th Ave. NE, cross Sammammish Slough, continue S on Juanita Dr. NE up the long hill to park entrance on R. (0.2 mi. past light at Arrowhead Dr/NE 153rd Pl.).
•From NB I-405, take the NE 116th St. exit [#20A] and turn L. Go W on NE 116th, cross 98th Ave. NE and continue W on NE Jaunita Dr (which becomes Jaunita Dr NE) approximately 4 miles to park entrance on L.
Follow red/white O' signs to registration.
SeaTac Park 7500 2.5 Seattle •From I-5, take SR 518 [Exit 154B] west past Sea-Tac Airport and to the exit for Des Moines Memorial Drive. Turn R and go N 1.3 mi. on Des Moines Memorial Drive to S 128th Street (third traffic light). Turn R and go 0.2 mi. E to the park entrance at 20th Ave. S. Follow the signs to registration.
•From southbound I-405, continue across I-5 at SouthCenter onto SR 518 and follow directions above.
•From downtown Seattle (e.g., the ferry terminal) take either SR 99 (the viaduct), Alaskan Way, or 1st Avenue to the 1st Avenue South bridge over the Duwamish River. Continue S up the hill on SR 509 3.2 mi. to the exit for S. 128th St. Turn L and go E 0.9 mi. to park entrance at 20th Ave. S.
Alternate registration area on S. 136th St.: Turn E on S. 136th St., go E one block and turn R (S) to parking area. Arriving from the S, it is possible to cheat and go E on S. 138th St.
Seward Park 7500 2.5 Seattle •From SB I-5 take Columbian Way exit [#163A] =>
•From West Seattle or Fauntleroy ferry terminal, take West Seattle Freeway (Spokane St) across I-5 =>
=>Continue E up hill, keep R. Go S on 15th Ave S, curving L as it becomes Columbian Way again. Turn R on Beacon Ave S and go S 0.6 mi to S Orcas St. Go E on S Orcas St 2.0 mi to Lake Washington Blvd S. Turn R and go S 0.2 mi to park entrance on L.
•From NB I-5 take Martin Luther King Way exit [#157], keep R. Go N 1.7 mi to S Henderson St. Turn R on Henderson to Rainier Ave S. Turn L and go N 0.2 mi to S Cloverdale St =>
•From Renton, go N on Rainier Ave S to S Cloverdale St =>
=>Take soft R onto Cloverdale Pl S, which becomes Seward Park Ave S. Go N 1.3 mi to S Orcas St, continue as above.
Registration is usually in the large shelter at the top of the hill.
Shoreview Park 5000 5 Shoreline •From NB I-5 take the NE 145th St. exit [#175], turn L and go W on NE 145th St (becomes N 145th St.). Turn R onto Greenwood Ave. N, turn L off of Westminster Way N and continue N on Greenwood Ave. N. Just past N 160th St., turn L onto NW Innis Arden Way.
•From SB I-5 take the NE 175th St. exit, turn R and go W on NE 175th St. (becomes N 175th St.) to Aurora Ave. N (SR-99). Turn L and go S to N 160th St., turn R and go W on N 160th St. to Greenwood Ave. N. Turn R on Greenwood Ave. N and then immediately L onto NW Innis Arden Way.
Follow red/white O' signs to registration.
University of Washington Campus Seattle •From WB or EB SR-520, take the Montlake Blvd. exit NB. Cross the Montlake Bridge and continue N 0.5 mi. on Montlake Blvd. NE past Husky Stadium and the other athletic facilities. Park in the "Montlake Lot" (E1) (signed "East Campus Parking") and walk W across the middle pedestrian bridge over Montlake Blvd (this bridge is near the SW corner of lot E1). Parking is also available on campus. Follow all parking regulations! Registration is usually on the N side of Fluke Hall.

Wapato Park Tacoma From SB I-5 Take S. 74th St. exit [#129] (signed "So 72 St / So 84 St"), stay L to go under the overpass. Turn R at light and cross freeway eastbound; street becomes S 72nd St =>
From NB I-5 take S. 72 St. exit [#129] (signed "So. 72 St"), turn R onto S 72nd St =>
=>continue E 0.4 mi from interchange, turn L on Sheridan Ave. (third light after interchange), go N 2 blocks to park entrance on left.
Washington Park Anacortes •From I-5, take SR-20 exit [#230] W to Anacortes, follow to San Juan Islands Ferry terminal. Continue past ferry terminal (stay L) on Sunset Ave. to park.
Woodland Park 5000 2.5 Seattle Take the I-5 NE 50th St. exit [#169] and head west to the park. Usual location for registration is just NE of the large gravel parking lot. Enter this lot from N 50th St. just E of the underpass beneath Aurora Ave. N.
For events using a shelter at the north end of the park, turn R on Green Lake Way N and go N 0.4 miles. Turn L on W Green Lake Way N and take first L up hill into the park. This northern registration area also can be reached from NB Aurora Ave.
